Back to the sad reality of me being away from my Vegas family to be here in Austin. I recently just came back from a mini-vacation to celebrate my youngest niece’s first birthday. I solely dedicated that visit to spend time with her because it has been 6 months since the last time I saw her. I did squeeze in a little bit of R&R with some of my best friends in between those times I was not with her. And if you’d ask me, I’d love to stay there longer. Four full days were not enough to catch up the lost time.

As for me, nothing has really changed. My old bridal styling job recently called to hire me back as a special occasion stylist this time and I actually said yes. So, we’ll see with my busy schedule on how will that work out doing three jobs again? Yikes. I know. And for my new place, everything has been settled and looking good. I just need to decorate a little bit for the bedroom and it’ll be immaculate. Let me know if you want to see an apartment tour!

I’d keep on babbling but, without further due, here’s another collaboration with one of my favorite affordable stores, A’GACI. The weather here in Austin lately has been nothing short of amazing: 50’s in the am and pm, and warms up at noon. Just perfect enough to wear a light sweater, skirt, and booties with my own twist. I think you’ve guessed that by now that I very seldom wear pants. I’m just not a pants person and I feel more comfortable wearing skirts. Even my work business clothes, I tend to wear a lot of pencil skirts. I think it just works to my advantage, too, being in a sunny and warm state, having a cooler weather is a little hard to come by. So this outfit with the sweater may look weather-confusing to some, but hey, works for me!

The statement sweater has a contrast ribbed detailing with cinched blossom sleeves that can be adjustable. It’s a little cropped for me (I’m 5’6″) and it’s past my belly button by a few inches. I paired it with this skirt of a leatherette material with floral print all over it. It’s perfect as a transitional piece: it’s soft and not as warm as a real leather. I finished the outfit up with basic ankle booties to balance everything out, and a red purse for a pop of color.

Everything listed is from A’GACI.

Hope you enjoyed reading this. Here’s to hoping for a cooler weather!
